Intended Purpose: The sleek smaller frame of the Spy Bias meets the fashion mavens at Les Ettes for a fun signature model. The Spy + Les Ettes Bias is packed full of Spy’s features like Carl Zeiss vision and Scoop ventilation system with fresh matte accents, a signature multi-colored polka dot strap and “you stink” on the back clip. Location: I wore the goggle at Heavenly, Mammoth and June in California. Conditions: Majority of sunny bluebird days on the mountain. Color: I received the Bias in the Les Ettes signature collaboration. It’s the look of the Bias with the influence of Les Ettes. Personally I’m not familiar with Les Ettes but I really love the polka dot design and back-buckle that says “you stink!” (see photo below for example). I think it’s a really fun goggle design that has a girly look to it without being flowers and pink. Lens: The Bias goggles came with the bronze green spectra lens. I really like the look of the lens and it helps with those sunny days to block out the sun and give you good visibility of the snow conditions even on some cloudy days. Fit: Each time I’ve tried the […]

Intended Purpose: The Spy Bias is designed for smaller faces with a reduced frame size and feature a sleek, low profile goggle for female riders to make their snowboarding experience better fitted and more fun. Location: I started riding these goggles in the early season here at Mammoth Mountain. Conditions: I’ve spent the majority of time riding these on bluebird sunny days and some overcast conditions. Color: I received the Bias in the black gold colorway which I’m really digging. I like the sleek black frame and the outline of the gold just makes it look even better. I’m not a fan of gold either but this is tastefully done. The strap is black with the signature spy logo in gold. Lens: I’ve been rocking the gold mirror lens which is perfect for blocking out the sun on sunny days. In the picture where I’m outside you can see the full reflection of the mountain and can’t see my eyes. On overcast days it has some visibility but definitely like the lens for bluebird days the best. Fit: The bias are a favorite goggle when it comes to fit and rocking female specific. The frame is smaller so it hugs […]

Intended Purpose: The Spy Bias is designed for smaller faces with a reduced frame size and feature a sleek, low profile goggle for female riders to make their snowboarding experience better fitted and more fun. Location: I started riding these goggles here in Steamboat during our snow drought. Conditions: I’ve spent the majority of time riding these on bluebird sunny days and some flat light overcast conditions. Color: I received the Bias in the elements color/frame which has a mix of colors on the goggle and the strap reminds me of a high school letterman’s jacket with the variety letter padding. It’s kind of an eclectic look to a women’s goggle but it doesn’t bother me for looks. Lens: I’ve been rocking the bias goggle in the rose with silver mirror lens which are ideal for sunny days on the mountain. We have a lot of sunny days in Colorado so this works for the conditions, on the overcast to flat light days the lens does okay but isn’t ideal for those. Fit: It was better than I remembered from last time, even though the frame is smaller than I need for my face the fit around my nose was […]

The sleek, low-profile Spy Bias snowboard goggle is specifically designed for smaller faces. Intended Purpose: Meant for smaller faces, it is a scaled down version of the Spy Soldier in a women’s goggle. Color: Various designs on the Bias from the bright to the simple. I’ve been riding in the black frame with purple skulls on the strap. Location: I received the goggles after SIA and since then have rode with them mostly in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Conditions: I’ve worn the goggles on bluebird days, overcast and snowing days. Visibility: With the smaller frame you definitely get less peripheral, I compared against my Smith Heiress’s which had a tad wider peripheral. The frame is a tad smaller than I needed to fit the width of my face so I found that to be partially the reason for less visibility. Features: The bias features a Scoop ventiliation system to reduce lens fogging and every day that I rode with the bias I didn’t have any problems with fogging but I was just lapping the mountain without any hiking either. The triple layer face foam has moisture wicking fleece to keep your face warm and dry, without any marks from the goggles. […]
