In only a matter of weeks, Jeremy Jones Deeper will be premiering to masses of snowboarders but until then Deeper Unplugged gives people a behind the scenes look at what Deeper is about. Last night in Seattle, evo showcased Deeper Unplugged for local riders to come hang out, drink and watch the behind the scenes clips. I had already seen Deeper Unplugged in Bellingham but couldn’t resist watching it again in Seattle with friends. The best part about re-viewing Deeper Unplugged in Seattle was being able to see old friends and new friends at evo. It’s been years since I’ve lived in the NW and occasionally I’ll run into old friends at snowboard events but fun to play catch up whenever I see them. [singlepic id=9936 w=500 h=281 float=] evo hosts a ton of events that I was jealous of when I lived in Colorado but now that I’m back in the Northwest it’s a blast to be able to attend them finally! With the $3 suggested donation, there were a good amount of people heating up evo to check out the film and support a good cause with POW. I was able to catch up with girlgetboard blogger Bekah […]

For the past two years the anticipation for TGR’s deeper has been steadily growing and soon “Deeper” will be released to the public so riders around the world can see deep into Jeremy Jones & friends big mountain adventures. Premiere season has arrived in the Northwest and with big mountain/freeriding as the soul behind these mountains, the Jeremy Jones film is guaranteed to be a popular choice. Last night TGR’s premiered “Deeper Unplugged” in Bellingham, Washington at the Boundary Bay Brewery which meant some good beers amidst the $3 suggested donation to watch the films and plenty of raffle prizes to win. “Deeper Unplugged” delivers a sneak peak at the upcoming “Deeper” film with bonus features from Jeremy Jones. They also premiered a climate change film called “Generations” that looks into glacier activity at snowboard/ski resorts around the world and the effects/ways to solve climate change for the snowboard/ski industry. In the middle of the film was the teaser for the upcoming Northwest film “Saturday Night Ride” from Wildcardmovies that showcases true NW riding from some amazing local riders. I headed up to Bellingham with Erik Kaufman who unfortunately missed out on wearing his pro signature beanie for the raffle […]

Last night in Steamboat was the TGR Re: Session premiere which is always a must for the locals in town to get out, see friends, enjoy some brews while watching a film that will get you stoked on the winter ahead. [singlepic id=6434 w=400 h=267 float=] Even though I’m a snowboarder I still appreciate good winter films, TGR is one of those and the other is Matchstick. Despite the lack of snowboarding (TGR has some) it’s still insane to watch the skiers throw down and be stoked on what they can pull off. I had the choice to see the forum premiere in Denver (but I had already watched it at Philips) or staying in town to see TGR. Being in Steamboat for premieres is just so much fun that it’s hard to turn down, it’s a lot of familiar faces that you spend the premiere with and then hang out at the bars afterwards, when it comes time to head home it’s a simple walk or skate to friends houses or home. [singlepic id=6436 w=400 h=267 float=] I arrived early mostly in part cause I thought the movie started at 7pm, when it started at 8pm. But that meant […]

So last night in Steamboat Springs, Colorado was the first film premiere of the season. Thanks to the Steamboat Mountain Film Festival we get a couple movies to watch in our resort town. TGR Films are always the popular film premiere in Steamboat with all the die-hards coming out of the woodwork. I gotta admit it’s fun to attend film premieres in your own town…you know that it’s acceptable to bring your own beer, that the locals will scream and cheer on the movie and that after the movie you’ve got friends heading to the bars and will eventually find your way home safely. TGR is a ski/snowboard film with some great skiers and snowboarders. The snowboarders featured were Jeremy Jones, Victoria Jealous (who I must say got a lot of hoots from the men in the premiere) and Gigi Ruf. Steph and the gang checking people in for the raffle and selling tickets to the show You gotta get past this guy to get in…he’s tough The Steamboat Grand Hotel…a bit too nice but luckily they put up with us Tara and myself…Tara is a hard core tele skier.
Last night at the Steamboat Film Festival was the premiere of Teton Gravity Research’s Lost and Found. It was awesome since a great amount of riders and skiers came to view it. TGR put on the most pumped up, exceptional ski/snowboard movie. The soundtrack was awesome, a great variety of music styles and really I was moving to the music the entire premiere which is awesome when a film gets you pumped up like that. The riding was amazing, with riders like Jeremy Jones and Victoria Jealouse of course it’s gonna have some great lines and great locations. I’d have to say the skiing impressed me the most, some of the terrain being skied down was incredible especially the line at Jackson Hole. I think my jaw dropped seeing the skier hit it…luckily he had a parachute. The terrain park in europe with the hole was killer to watch the 3 skiers hit each jump. That’s in the teaser below and just the beauty and awesomeness of it is so fun! Also seeing the adaptive skier hitting lines of powder after becoming paralyzed…stuff like that really blows your mind as to never giving up and keep riding. I did laugh […]
