It may be June in Oregon with summer just around the corner but today winter paid a visit with cold temps and weather on Timberline. The mountain opened up the lower chairlifts and created a mini park for camp so we could hit up the mountain today despite the weather. A bit cloudy walking up to Timberline [singlepic id=9305 w=300 h=400 float=] The lower mountain park set up for Windells today included 2 lines of rails and jumps [singlepic id=9306 w=400 h=300 float=] Staying dry was the most important thing on the mountain today, cold temps and some rain made the slopes slow and wet [singlepic id=9307 w=400 h=300 float=] The rainy northwest weather did make for a perfect evening at Windells to win some free swag from Sessions. Nick Visconti and Tim Humphreys did the Mud’n’blood contest where campers raced through the natural mud course and basically got really really muddy to win a free outerwear set from Sessions. [singlepic id=9309 w=400 h=267 float=] One of the campers getting caught on film with sticker shades [singlepic id=9308 w=400 h=267 float=] The soon to be winner of the outerwear ran fast and got muddy in order to win the Sessions […]

Today was the beginning of summer camp at Windells Camp as session 1 campers began to arrive. It was an early day with a staff meeting to go over details so we could work together during the day to welcome new and returning campers. It was fun to be on the opposite end than last year where I was a camper at Adult Camp, this time I got to see how everyone goes down and be the staff member helping out. [singlepic id=9265 w=300 h=400 float=] Keith getting ready to check in all the session 1 campers [singlepic id=9267 w=400 h=300 float=] The girls setting up the schedule of events for session 1 in the cafeteria so everyone will know the plan for the next couple days. [singlepic id=9261 w=400 h=300 float=] As the morning went on, the vans started arriving from the airport with campers. Staff would help with bags, checking in and getting the campers to their cabins. Companies came in earlier this week to decorate their cabins and definitely some sweet setups going on by companies. [singlepic id=9263 w=400 h=300 float=] Never Summer rider Billy Rodriguez trying out the dry slope [singlepic id=9256 w=300 h=400 float=] […]
