You know it’s a rough week when you might not even get outside to enjoy the snow during the week, unfortunately that was me this week.  With SIA approaching, it means less ride time on the mountain but luckily today I spent my hour lunch break making park laps with some of the instructors.  Steamboat hasn’t gotten any snow worth mentioning in a couple weeks, couple light dustings and you find yourself totally up for more park riding since pow riding is not happening yet.

I rode up the gondola with Philip and Doug who wanted to freeride (mostly cause Philip effed up his shoulder).  I wanted to ride park and headed down to the park to meet up with Chris and Maggie from snowboarderguide.com and Bec for some fun freestyle laps.

My favorite feature in the park is the corrogated tube because I can ride up over it, ollie it, tail tap it or just plain stall on top of it.  It’s a blast and not lethal at all.

We spent our time in the park and for me I had one of my smoother days, I just need to balls up and start grabs.  Regardless it was fun and we all were working on something new to try in the pipe.

Tomorrow is friday and soon it’s the sierra meet up which I’ll be blogging about all weekend long!  After that, its SIA time!
