Three years ago I sat down in front of my computer and began this snowboard blog that eventually would grow to become something recognizable. It began as a way to express myself and share a passion for snowboarding with the world but I never expected that it would reach over 1.7 million visitors and lead to amazing opportunities, people and countless adventures in the snow.
Thank you to everyone who checks in to read this blog. You are the best most loyal supportive appreciative readers I’ve ever encountered on the internet and in person. I really owe a lot to everyone who supports shayboarder.com with stickers or just word of mouth, thank you so much for being such a great part of this journey.
I am very lucky to have snowboarding in my life because through the ups and downs I can release into a mountain of snow, breathe in the cold air and realize that I am happy making my own path down the mountain. Some days there are friends to share it with and other days it’s my thoughts but I’m a part of something real. Snowboarding isn’t just a activity, it’s my way of life…this blog has been able to show that and I’m so proud to be a part of snowboarding by giving back through my words.
