TGR’s “Deeper Unplugged” in Bellingham

For the past two years the anticipation for TGR’s deeper has been steadily growing and soon “Deeper” will be released to the public so riders around the world can see deep into Jeremy Jones & friends big mountain adventures.  Premiere season has arrived in the Northwest and with big mountain/freeriding as the soul behind these mountains, the Jeremy Jones film is guaranteed to be a popular choice.

Last night TGR’s premiered “Deeper Unplugged” in Bellingham, Washington at the Boundary Bay Brewery which meant some good beers amidst the $3 suggested donation to watch the films and plenty of raffle prizes to win.  “Deeper Unplugged” delivers a sneak peak at the upcoming “Deeper” film with bonus features from Jeremy Jones.  They also premiered a climate change film called “Generations” that looks into glacier activity at snowboard/ski resorts around the world and the effects/ways to solve climate change for the snowboard/ski industry.  In the middle of the film was the teaser for the upcoming Northwest film “Saturday Night Ride” from Wildcardmovies that showcases true NW riding from some amazing local riders.

I headed up to Bellingham with Erik Kaufman who unfortunately missed out on wearing his pro signature beanie for the raffle but we had a blast with the beers and people at the show.

$3 suggested donation goes to Protect our Winters and Whimps Mountain Bike Coalition

Jones Snowboards line-up on hand to check out and in the perfect environment with Mt Baker nearby it’s a freeriders paradise.  At the end of the night the Jones Flagship was given away in the raffle…which would have been rad to take home!

I’ve been to the Boundary Bay Brewery once before and the beer is good, so good that I was stoked to go back for more beer and snowboard teasers.  The crowd was packed below before the films began and it didn’t take much to try out all the different varieties of beer.

Saturday Night Ride is the predessor to How the Northwest Was One and is a favorite to watch the riding in the teasers.  It’s great to see these guys back in the saddle creating films that document the northwest riding and the amazing riders that come out of these mountains.  I’ll put the teaser below so everyone can check it out.

If you’ve been watching the Deeper Unplugged videos hitting the internet then you might be disappointed at the film since you’ve probably seen what’s being showed but it’s still a good time to show up and check it out with your friends who might not have.  I personally liked the show and sitting there drinking a beer supporting a good cause but I’m also looking forward to the final video for all the action.

The next stop in the NW for Deeper Unplugged is at evo in Seattle on Friday, August 27th. I’m pretty sure I’ll head there too since it’s guaranteed to be a good time!
