Mammoth is getting dumped on

20 Dec, 2010

I’m sitting in bed realizing that outside my window is over 8 feet of snow that has fallen since Friday.  It’s insane.  On the mountain it’s supposed to be anywhere from 8 to 12 feet of snow.  Yesterday I enjoyed the day off from riding after realizing no steep lifts were open and while powder is fun, it’s not as fun when you get stuck in it on the flats.  My power is back on (was off most of yesterday) so I figured I’d just update with some recent snow photos.

Yesterday afternoon driving down my road

This morning waking up to a phone call from my mom whose flight is cancelled coming into Mammoth and unsure if the storm will let up for her to visit over the holidays.  I stepped outside to see a car in the parking lot stuck trying to get out, my truck buried and just the amount of snow that keeps coming down.

The neighbors vehicle next to the snow that has been plowed and moved out of the way.  Capita loves it cause she can mountain goat up it.

My truck, it was clean last night at 8pm

Now it’s time to unbury the truck, see if I can get out and make it to work.
