Never Summer Snowboards 2012-2013

What would you say the main performance / riding difference would be between the Raptor and the Premier F1? Or, to put is another way, why would one choose one over the other?

I want to get an SL, but should I wait for the 2013 one? Is it different from the 2012 model? I know it doesn’t really matter, but I like the look of the 2012 model better. Of course, I’ll choose the 2013 if its a better ride.

    Hi Mark,
I think the major difference come from the construction and the sidecut…
Raptor do have more High End tech (maybe less weight) and a deeper sidecut in the nose so you can carve or initiate faster you turns… while F1 is more classic construction (not cheaper but more classic and heavier) with a longer initiating turns but a deep tail turns to rip or slid your turns when need it…
Raptor is more a carving deep machine euro style… but both can ride the same terrain for sure so I do understand your dilemma 😉

Saw a Cobra at Salty Peaks (different graphics), in Utah a month back and nearly bought it. I ride a Lib Banana Magic most of the time, and feel like the Cobra might be an even better version of that board. I have to say though, the graphics (the ones I saw, and the ones above) are really holding me back. In the end, I’m probably not in the market for a new board, but if I was, it would really bother me to ride those Cobra graphics. Not sure if I am the only one this shallow, but man, I am tired of NS graphics. A dream catcher – really?

    Hi Peterborough,
I am curious about you comment of the Cobra might be an even better version of that board? I am a Lib Tech Rider (2009 Lando 160) I know both cie Mervin and NS made a lot of progress since 2009… Why you prefer NS approach now?
To me graphic is only cosmetic… you get use to it… and you still can put a lot of decal sticker if you do not like 😉 But I have to say that Mervin do a really good job in cosmetic too…
    Thanks

The Cobra is directional in shape. No way is it even comparable to the Banana Magic. The Cobra is a directional, powder shaped Proto. If anything, I’d say the GNU Dirty Pillow is a probably a better comparison to the Cobra. Yet, the GNU is probably softer and more park ready.

maybe too the C1 La nina of Lib can do the same… it is a directional too…

Looking for a fast, pow, surfy all around board. The Sherlock and Fish are my go to boards. However that company is now producing boards from China and I will not support that. Thinking about the Heritage? Whatcha think?
