Six years of Shayboarder

Six years ago I sat in front of my computer writing my introduction to the World of Snowboarding on shayboarder.com. It began with a blog post, zero views and no expectations on where it would go or lead me. I never expected that shayboarder.com would change my life, lead me to amazing experiences or make an impact on snowboarding. But now I can look back on this journey and say how incredibly lucky I have been. I made my own path into the snowboard industry and all it took was a lot of hard work and passion.

Last year I made the decision to focus on my career and put shayboarder.com on the backburner. After almost six years, I was ready to snowboard without telling the world about it, ride boards without needing to review them and enjoy some much needed moments away from the shayboarder world. I was ready to take a break, so I did and I really appreciate my fans who let it happen.

I want to take this moment to thank everyone who has read shayboarder.com over the past six years. It’s been very rewarding to share my journey with you. After all, I’m just a girl who fell in love with snowboarding and wanted to share that love with the world.
