In October Grenade announced they would be expanding their line with a spring 2009 release of Grenade footwear. Soon these kicks will be making their way to the streets. Here’s a glimpse at 3 models coming out for spring 2009.
Casual
The Casual is a leather/canvas blend in a classic lace-up low-top style that blows away cookie cutter skate shoes with its clean yet unique design retailing at $39.95 MSRP. The shoes will hit stores in Spring ‘09.

Grenade Standard Isshoe
The Grenade Standard Isshoe is a boat shoe that’s 180 degrees from its preppy predecessors. It’s priced at $29.95 MSRP, and is a canvas slip-on tricked out in fresh colors and graphics. It’s also a fully-functional skate shoe. Try popping a switch heelflip in ordinary boat shoes, and you’ll see what makes the Grenade Standard Isshoe so special.

Halfer
There’s the Halfer, a mid-cut leather shoe with ankle support where you need it and a vulcanized sole for just the right amount of friction.
It retails for $49.95.

Ugh, not sure what’s worse … the footwear or your logos on the pictures.

For sure…looks kinda silly to me. I wonder if the shoes will fall apart as fast as the gloves do…

Talking about the shoes, not the logs…Actually, the shayboarder logos make the shoes look better

These are just more cookie cutter Zumiez brand shoes. Then again, I guess that is what Grenade has become. I’ll stick to my Nikes thanks.

Anon – let me help you, the footwear is FAR worse than her logo. Those shoes look terrible, but some kids will buy into the branding hook/line/sinker

These aren’t even all of the colorways for these shoes… These colorways are ugly…

Shoes are a really hard industry to make waves in, but since they already have a huge cult following they probably will do well.
Good Luck….

Well I support thier move, almost all companies have to expand. Thier is massive competetion out there and if you dont expand lines you contract, it is simple business. They still rep an off beat product like they always have. They havent sold out or given in to the mainstream or shit like that. I dont see non boarders wearing thier shit like Burton kids. I ask people what Burton is and some people tell me a t shirt company….see what i mean. Trust me coming from a business background, it is good move. You wont see these on Abercrombie AE people. The guys still rep them at events, they still ride hard, do camps, and most of all they still make crazy looking designs that only the true Grenade fans enjoy. You gotta respect them for that, and hell remember it is still a company for boarders by boarders….

I personally don’t think they are ugly…but I’m also the person who would love to buy under $30 shoes that are by a snowboard company. I bought Vans last year and they were $70 on sale…I’d rather try these and see how they do. My favorites are the isshoes, I could sport those all summer.
