Burton Snowboards 2008-2009

Update 6/18/08: Added catalog photos of the JJ, T6, Dominant, Malolo, Feelgood ESm, Custom X and Blunt Primo.

Interested in the Burton Shop Series…here’s a look at them for 2009

For 2008-2009 Burton expanded the EST and ICS technology to more of their models. I was finally happy to get 2 womens bindings with EST compatible with the ICS snowboards. I was bummed last year when the ICS was released on a womens board but a womens compatible binding was not made…just a poor choice. I may not ride the womens boards but womens bindings are definitely meant for womens boots. So anyway…finally happy to have them this year.

I also checked out the Burton Fix at SIA, just interested in how they would add to the rocker/reverse camber movement. I was able to ride the Fix and Lexa EST’s at on-snow last week, so I’ll be adding a review of it soon.

These are just some random photos around Burton at SIA. I gotta admit they were the best for putting out Emergen-C drinks.

I rode the 08-09 Burton Fix and reviewed it here

I rode the 08-09 Burton Lexa EST and reviwed it here

    Hi Lorraine,
    Here you go!

Feelgood ES will be ICS only, but the Feelgood is available as ICS or 3D.

G-Twin has ICS next year. It will also be available in a 142 for the smaller shred girls.

I really love the design of that silver burton board you posted pictures of. You called it feather in one pictures and lux in another caption. What is the name of that board? Also, what are the graphics on that board and do you have closer pictures? I can’t wait for 2009 boards to come out! Thanks!

I updated that first picture, the silver board is the Burton Lux. I don’t have closer photos right now, you can see that board in a couple images. I’ll definitely update this post when I do get more Burton images.

J_vivian: All three sizes of the Feelgood ES have the same graphic, so yours will be the same one that she pictured above.

So I just bought new Flow bindings with the intention to buy a new 09 Burton Feelgood ES… but from what I’ve read, only Burton Bindings fit the ICS boards? Is this true? Otherwise I’m guttered

  • Shayboarder
    June 2, 2008 at 8:58 pm

    Hey Tobes,

The point of the ICS board is to have it with the EST bindings to get the full effect. You can get the special baseplates to attach the flows to a burton board and with the ICS board you would only have two screws attached. It’s do-able but not recommended. What flows did you get and what style of riding are you into?

A little bird told me that for 2010 Burton will be releasing 4×4 EST bindings.

    Katie,

Even on ICS Boards like the Feelgood ES for 09, you can get special plates to adjust to 3-hole bindings from Burton. What bindings do you have for that board?
